Our abode in this coastal wonderland was no ordinary hotel room—it was a lavish 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom condo nestled in the Shipwatch section of the Omni Resort.

As we opened the door to our temporary haven, we were greeted by spacious living areas, a decent size kitchen, and an outdoor terrace that promised evenings of laughter under the starlit sky.  One thing we really loved about this condo was the owner's suite. It featured an en-suite and a private balcony, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area.

The Omni Resort unfolded before us like a vibrant community, a microcosm of seaside delights. From delectable restaurants serving up coastal cuisine to stores tempting us with treasures, and an outdoor oasis teeming with activities and live music—the resort was a world within itself. We found ourselves at Marche Burette Southern Table for dinner that first night. Opting for an outdoor feast, we savored every bite of Southern goodness.

Our days were filled with sun-soaked adventures, but none compared to the thrill of our Segway tour with Amelia's Wheels.

Two-wheeled novices that we were, the first few minutes felt like a comedy of errors. However, as we zipped through the resort's scenic pathways for a 1.5-hour tour, laughter echoed in the air, and the beauty of Amelia Island unfolded before our eyes.

Another culinary gem revealed itself at Falcon's Nest, a cozy establishment within the resort. Here, amidst warm ambiance, we indulged in a symphony of flavors that left our taste buds applauding. It was a great way to relax after our Segway escapade.

Exploring the grounds around our Shipwatch condo became a daily ritual, with quiet beach strolls and moments of introspection. The juxtaposition of the serene beach against the vibrant energy of the resort created a harmonious balance, and we found solace in the simple joys of coastal living.

To kick off our last day, we headed north to Main Beach to check out the area and grab some lunch. We choose to eat at Salt Life Food Shack. Immediately we loved the laid back atmosphere and the friendly staff. Our experience included tacos that tasted like a fiesta, and drinks that embodied the essence of coastal living—it was a beachside feast for the senses.

Our adventures didn't end there; next we headed to Jacksonville, where the allure of Top Golf awaited. We have always wanted to play Top Golf, but we never had the chance. To have this opportunity added an unexpected twist to our coastal getaway, turning an ordinary day into a golfing adventure.

What A Trip!

And so, our tale of sun, sea, and Segway's concludes, but the echoes of laughter and the scent of the Atlantic breeze linger. As we bid farewell to Amelia Island, we carry with us the magic of exploration, the warmth of coastal hospitality, and the promise of future adventures. Until we set sail again, may your travels be filled with tales as enchanting as ours in this coastal gem. Cheers to the wanderlust that beckons us to new horizons!
